First Warn Forecast is sunny and warm, highs mid 80s

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – This morning temperatures are expected in the upper 50s at sunrise, near 80° at noon with high temperatures expected between 85° and 87° around 4 pm

As the storm systems develop out west, we see the cold front form allowing more heat and humidity to build for Thursday. Isolated showers are expected mid-afternoon in our northwestern counties between 4 and 6 pm Scattered showers are possible within the metro along with isolated thunderstorms northeast of the city. There are signs of heavy downpours and thunderstorms between 8 and 10 pm

A First Warning is possible Thursday, not necessarily for severe storm activity but because of its impact on any outdoor plans, especially if you’re going to the game at Arrowhead or to the K.

Once this front passes early morning Friday, temperatures drop dramatically. We anticipate upper 80s and lower 90s on Thursday but by Friday temperatures will fall into the middle 70s by Saturday afternoon with high temperatures expected in the lower 70s.

Sunday morning is now looking much more likely for temperatures to drop into the 40s which may lead to wind chill values ​​for many of us. During this time, mostly clear skies are likely with partly cloudy conditions redeveloping to start the next school week. Temperatures will also begin to rebound with low to middle 80s expected on Monday and middle to upper 80s by Tuesday.
